View Hotel Folkestone

It was too hot inside...

Liked: Good value,Helpful staffs, excellent food , great location.
Disliked: Why No Air-condition in the hotel ? It is essential in the south .

Lovely hotel and excellent lcoation.

Liked: Breakfast and dinner were great, they were able to offer gluten free options for our coeliac child. Staff were lovely and really accommodating.
Disliked: The only small downside is how hot the room got at night. Understandably there is no aircon but one smallish standup fan wasn't an awful lot of help for the four of us.

Disliked: Not clean dated and parking is difficult they give you a permit but you still need to find a space that's free!

Liked: Lovely period hotel, clean, plenty of fresh towels provided. Pleased to find a fan had been provided as the days we stayed turned out to be very hot.Hairdryer, deposit box, teas & coffees all great.Toiletries provided.Friendly staff.15 minute walk from the train station, 10 minute walk to the town. Nice walks from the hotel.
Disliked: For such a nice hotel I was disappointed to find that the TV wasn’t a smart one (so no chance of Netflix, Prime, Disney etc)Very stingy with the toilet roll. 2 small rolls on the first day but when the room was cleaned 2 were not replaced. Had to buy my own. (I had asked the staff, to no avail)I understand it is an old building, but would really be great if the windows could be opened as the rooms are very hot.

Not up to Radisson standard

Liked: Comfortable bed and clean
Disliked: Hard to find as it still had The Cliffe name board outside. Bar area was poor and lacked any comfort. Also the room was in need of decorating

Liked: Location is incredible. Our room was great with gorgeous views and a fantastic shower. The staff were so friendly. We would stay here again especially as they accommodate dogs.

The loveliness of The View...

Liked: Fabulous location. Very friendly staff. Our room was bigger than we were expecting and it was very clean. The shower was one of the best we’ve used in a hotel. Good choice of menu for evening meal.
Disliked: Nothing, it was all brilliant and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend The View as somewhere to stay when visiting Folkestone.
