Too expensive for what this...
Liked: The staff, specifically Dennis at the reception, was the best this hotel has to offer. Dennis was extremely professional and went above and beyond to make my stay more comfortable.
Disliked: This hotel is not even a 2-Star property in my opinion. As a starter, I was asked to pay upfront for my entire stay. When I entered my room, which had appropriate space and a large inviting window, I realized there was no refrigerator, microwave, or coffee/tea maker. Any 2-Star hotel would offer that. Also, the TV signal for channels in English were not working. So I couldn’t watch the news. The bathroom didn’t have any toiletries, just liquid soap for hands and body (in the shower). The worst of all were the beds, which were very uncomfortable, and the pillows were too filled and hard (bad quality pillows). I had a terrible night. I woke up with my neck and back stiff. The main offer for hotels is comfort and restful sleep… none of these existed at this property.Furthermore, after I took a shower, the water leaked out of the tub into the bathroom leaving a paddle of water (older facilities show that seals no longer work). The location is not even central, but a 20+ minutes away. It’s good that at least the hotel is very close to public transportation, within half or one block away. The only good thing at this hotel is Dennis at the reception. He has gone the extra mile to try to make my stay more comfortable. He brought me another pillow, which didn’t work unfortunately, and offered me breakfast, which was very good, for the last two days of my stay. He was very professional. Thank you Dennis! One last thing I encountered the last night was using a towel that was stained with blood drops from a previous guest apparently. They weren’t mine… disgusting! This hotel is not a cheap. It is charging over €130 per night but has the facilities of almost half that cost. I am extremely disappointed at Vienna House for taking advantage of tourism.Maybe this was a series of unfortunate events, which could also happen, and if so, I would expect the hotel to reimburse me half the cost of my stay. I will update my review if that happens.

Superb
Liked: Cosy rooms, tasty breakfast, very pleasant personnel, close to S-Bahn, everything works nicely. Very pleasant stay all in all
Disliked: Two relatively small and slow elevators for the number of rooms, so I had to wait quite a bit for the one to come and to take me to the 7th floor

Great location, clean and comfortable
Liked: Location is excellent with convenient connection to train and trams. The rooms are good size and the lobby is very comfortable to relax a bit in the evening as well before going out or coming back.
Disliked: Maybe a wider selection of drinks or a kettle in the room, but really not much

A welcoming and comfortable hotel
Liked: The hotel was both comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, and the location is very convenient—just a short walk from public transportation. What truly makes this hotel special is its staff. From the reception to housekeeping and kitchen personnel, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.(The only exception was the male receptionist on the evening of June 7th—his harsh tone wasn’t very pleasant, but this did not negatively affect our overall experience.)They went above and beyond to assist me in many ways, and did so with genuine warmth. These days, it's relatively easy to find clean and comfortable hotels, but finding one with a team that truly cares about its guests is much rarer. This hotel is definitely one of those rare places. However, I didn’t find the Prenzlauer Berg area very safe late at night. On my last night, around 11:30 PM, I experienced a disturbing incident where a drunk person physically attacked me without any clear reason. He shouted something in German that I didn’t understand before the attack.Although I had a very positive experience at the hotel itself, I personally didn’t feel very safe walking in the surrounding area late at night. This may not reflect the overall nature of the neighborhood, but travelers might want to stay alert after dark.

Disliked: Only 1 small elevator was working for all hotel and it was always busy. Bathroom and especially shower area is too small.
