I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Very courteous and helpful.

Stay anywhere else but here...

Disliked: 1) The hotel charged 200 CAD more than the agreed-upon price at booking time2) The room had ants in the bed which then got all over the food from the restaurant3) The hotel didn't care to do anything to fix either situation

Beautiful property but disappointing service

Liked: The property is a beautiful one and very individual. It is in a good location being only a short walk to the main city area of Victoria but very quiet.
Disliked: The staff here were not as pleasant as at all the other hotels we stayed at on our travels through Canada. We didn’t like that at 9am whilst you’re eating your breakfast, tables are being moved around you for their afternoon tea service. It felt rude and unnecessary at that time. The breakfast menu was very different and although we enjoyed it we heard a fellow diner who was vegetarian for alternatives, but it didn’t sound as this could be easily accommodated. The afternoon tea was pleasant and priced fairly.

Beyond my expectations!

Liked: This was beyond my expectations, great hotel and central, not far from landmarks either. Friendly staff and helpful with information, I highly recommend anyone staying in Vancouver. Ours was too short but will definitely come back here.
Disliked: Can not complain
