Victoria Square Hotel Clifton Village

Chose somewhere close to Anson Rooms. Would most definitely stay again when next in Bristol. One of the friendliest hotels we've stayed in. Lovely room.

Liked: Friendly staff. Good, clean room.
Disliked: No bad points at all.

Liked: Breakfast was ok.
Disliked: Room poorly furnished and draughty. Not up to usual standard of Best Western. Not good value for money.

Easily resolvable problems, great otherwise...

Liked: Perfect spot for Bristol City exploring
Disliked: Very noisy when the hotel is full….could hear every word from the adjoining rooms….people coming in at night stood by our door having a conversation, which was frustrating although not the hotels fault.Breakfast was a comedy of errors!!! Buffet style breakfast was great however, items not being topped up meant the rest of my food had gone cold…..a lack of communication between dining room and kitchen staff

Disliked: Parking is tight, and the carpark is not maintained with huge potholes. At £9 a night, this could have been better. There wasn’t a lot of prior information available before checking in, so we had no idea where alternative parking was available.Breakfast is confusing and not the friendliest of staff. Had to preorder but in the morning the breakfast was buffet style. This is with the exception of the eggs, which were cooked to order, but brought over as we were eating from the continental breakfast. This resulted in everyone in the party having cold eggs, not pleasant especially at £14 per head! Waitress did not seem concerned about this and we felt extremely rushed and like an inconvenience. Stairs very steep and we had no offer of assistance when taking our luggage up. If you do have reduced mobility I would suggest contacting the hotel before hand to request ground floor rooms.

Disliked: Room smelt of old socks; so bad had to go and buy an air freshen from the coop.Very dated fittings , duvet and curtainsBreakfast was chaotic , young kids trying their best , food cold, no bacon , toast of request ,colour decided by the server

Good value accommodation with good...

Liked: The location was very useful for Clifton and access to Bristol Airport. The room was clean and well equipped and breakfast was good value.
Disliked: The accommodation is in a separate building from reception, restaurant and bar! Fine if the weather is good but.. weather is bad.
