Great

Liked: Down to earth family business. A little oasis in the busy tourist hell season everywhere else. Peaceful, friendly, comfortable. Decent evening meal and breakfast, world class geology on the doorstep with Bow fiddle rock. Great walking on the coastal path.

Nice friendly hotel in a...

Liked: We have stayed here before. Nice friendly straightforward hotel in a lovely wee village.Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value.We had the included buffet breakfast, which suited us, but a cooked breakfast was extra.
Disliked: Our bed was probably past its best.

Excellent stay in a lovely...

Liked: A warm welcome from the owners and our room was beautifully decorated and furnished. We have stayed at this hotel before and the location is perfect for exploring this lovely coastline. Breakfast is either a continental or cooked choice - there is a large range of items to choose from with lots of fresh fruit, delicious.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Exceptional

Liked: In our 4 weeks of touring around Scotland, this was our favourite place to stay. The owners are wonderful and so accommodating, the food is great and it's a lovely place to have a drink at the bar and meet the locals. Plenty to see and do around the area if you enjoy the charm of a small coastal town - the walk from Portknockie to Cullen is a real treat on a nice day. Beautiful view out the window too!
