A haven in Collingwood

Liked: Beautifully new, well designed and perfectly presented, with everything you need including a full kitchen, washing machine and tumble drier. Loved the heated pool, spa and surrounding rooftop area! Staff were super helpful and friendly. Smith street is a very short walk with bustling nightlife. Grocery stores are a short walk away and a Greek Tavern is right across the road. All this at really good rates too. We will most definitely be back.
Disliked: We were really happy with everything and have no negative feedback.

Disappointing

Liked: Nice and new. Quiet, fairly roomy
Disliked: Inefficient booking systems - property sent two emails asking for details they should have had and then called asking for those details after I'd already again supplied them. Then at check in, I had to again supply details they should have already had.Illegally charged me an "EFTPOS fee" without notice. Property must stick with the booking.com total price. Advised them of this via email post stay, a refund was provided, but labelled as wifi discount, and no explanation or apology given - poor customer service!The bathroom needs additional towel hooks and or rails, not above the toilet - very unhygienic! The lack of a bathroom door is just strange. Recessed toilet door hard to close.

Beautiful hotel, staff just lack...

Liked: Beautiful & clean room. Gorgeous pool with little fireplaces surrounding it which was a gorgeous touch! Rachel at the front desk was very helpful!
Disliked: Some of the staff at the front desk were unknowledgable and unhelpful at times. I was directed to catch a tram to the art gallery but was told the wrong information and ended up lost in the city. A lot of them seem very bored with their job and are unwilling to add to the guest experience. Rachel on the front desk was great and was extremely helpful.

Great fit out, lacked space,...

Liked: New hotel that has been fitted out nicely. Full kitchen facilities. Washing machine included. Spacious balcony
Disliked: The room had a full kitchen (but not with a lot of utensils) but this ultimately made the room feel very small with very little room with the kitchen and the bed e.g. there wasn't sufficient space for bags. The bathroom was not a room - the toilet was behind a door but the sink and shower weren't. The shower was very weird - it was a glass box next to the kitchen with a poster wrapped around it for privacy (but it didn't feel very private). I would not recommend if travelling with friends.

Liked: Location was perfect as well as having secure parking on site (ensure to book in advance as there are limited spaces), Easy to access public transport also to explore. Food spots just outside your door. Otherwise the place in its self is immaculate for a 4 Star hotel, facilities are amazing/clean. Yes you're in a busy part of the city but the soundproofing is second to none as soon as you slide your door close. Our room was spacious and comfy! Would Definitely recommend this hotel if needing to stay in Collingwood to near the city. Super value for money!
Disliked: Everything exceeded our expectation it was just our sheets - there were black stains when opening our bed on the first night. We didn't mind after 2nd-3rd glance as it looked like burn marks but just something you don't really want to see when hopping into your hotel bed. Otherwise not a deal breaker!
