Liked: Location. Right near Kings X.
Disliked: It’s a hostel, so expectations were low, but the price was steep. Stayed in a single. ‘Harbour view’ is a generous description. The pillow was dreadful, almost worse than not having one. The room was so minuscule as to be claustrophobic. Window was propped up by the extractor unit so it was pretty cold. Worst of all the front code for the door didn’t work, they didn’t answer the doorbell which says 24 hour service on night one or 2. Just a faff all round. Should have paid a small amount extra for a proper hotel.

Liked: As a guy from Estonia who is used to cold conditions, I found it almost impossible to sleep: wearing two hoodies and three pairs of socks, I still woke up with a runny nose. The property has no heating system, and the windows don’t close properly, which makes it even worse.The food is questionable - sometimes you get decent pasta pomodoro, and other times it’s an inedible Indian-style dish of some kind. Breakfast is okay if you bring your own cheese and ham, as the only options provided are peanut butter, jam and cereal which aren’t really enough.Overall, the view is fabulous, and the price for what you get is fair. This place seems like a decent option for a short stay of a few nights - but definitely not more

Liked: Honestly, it was a fine place to lay the head for a few nights. Sheets were soft, lamps were fitted into the mostly clean bunks (stray hair here and there, nbd), privacy curtains and sinks in each dorm, which was nice, since the bathrooms had one sink per. Staff was nice enough, and they were able to help book an extra night seamlessly, albeit remotely. I didn't shower at this hostel, mind you. Beds were actually really comfy.
Disliked: I didn't like that there was a giant sign on the front door that said to keep closed at all times, yet every time I came back, whether it be 6 pm or 11 pm, the door was wide open. Seamed like the people staying there more long term just didn't really respect the place, or the other people in it, which also showed by the way people kept their areas in the dorms. My last night (the extra one), a woman who I believe may have been staying there long term, was tweaking in the doorway with the door wide open. No one on staff was trying to help her, and a bunch of yelling commenced for maybe 30-45 minutes after I got to bed shortly after. Really had no issues up until the last night. Overall, the building does have a strange energy.

Good budget hostel

Liked: Good location, free meals are really good, nice atmosphere in the hostel and has everything you could need. Good value for the price you pay.
Disliked: Top bunks are really high and noisy when climbing up, difficult to charge electronics, bathrooms on different floors, and hostel was very cold (in winter months). But it is good value for money.

Disliked: Doesn’t look like the pictures, super cold and no isolation, it’s like if you were having a shower outside, by the way on the left building there is only 2 showers for everyone, no space for your food in the fridge, and the worst for me : you need to talk to a tablet or by message there is nobody of the staff on site to talk irl…
