The worst hostel I have...

Liked: It's warmer than sleeping outside. It's clean.
Disliked: It's in a council estate in Deptford - 'west Greenwich' is misleading. The 'kitchen' is a microwave and kettle in a corridor with no sink, water or cutlery and, having o door, permeates the corridor with the smell of food. The toilets and showers have no door to separate them - they are just in a corridor. The alarm downstairs isn't properly grounded and rang constantly and the use of the app for check-in and communication means there's noone there to fix it. The place is full of homeless people. The freestanding beds are unstable and built without the correct washers so they rock and squeak when anyone rolls over.

Decent for the price and...

Liked: I liked the pub downstairs. Very warm environment with nice music. Water cooler on each floor a must for every hotel/hostel. WiFi was decent. Staff very friendly. Clean room and towels given.
Disliked: I didn’t like how thin the walls were. Every single step and word was heard. There was a woman on the phone at 6:30am despite the hostel rules being to keep quiet between 10pm and 9am. Bit annoying that the toilets/showers were shared as would have preferred more privacy but for a one night stay it wasn’t that big of a problem. The beds were quite hard but again for one night stay and the price it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was served from 9am in the pub downstairs however we never got served. No one was there. Tried to use the QR code provided to place an order but it didn’t let me as it said the pub was closed. Managed to flag down a cook that went past he told me to wait 10 minutes as someone should be coming to serve. We waited half an hour and nobody came. Along with 2 other customers we went to find a cafe elsewhere to get some breakfast which actually turned out cheaper in the end but unfortunate we couldn’t have this at the hostel as the options looked great.
