Disliked: Smelled very strong of moth balls! No hot water until after we were to be checking out. No discount to go ahead and stay. We were EVENTUALLY credited our charges (once demanded) but very inconvenient! We were in town to check on ill, aging parents with no accommodations for our overnight stay!

Liked: This was my second time to stay at Velkommen Inn. The first time was fabulous. This time not so much. The staff were not friendly. I stood at the front desk for about 15 minutes before just giving up. My sister and I came in late from our niece's graduation and noticed the smoking stand thing was melting and smoke was coming out of the top. It smelled horrible and we thought they should know. The guy was obviously on a personal call but just kept talking, I tried to say, "Excuse me", no answer. Not even a look up!! My sister said, "I guess they don't want to know the thing is on fire". So, we gave up and went upstairs.
Disliked: Friendlier staff. Move the smoking area from the door where you enter the building. That was horrible.

Liked: Everything was wonderful from check in to check out, kids really enjoyed the pool!

Liked: Very comfortable and clean and almost like a private facility with no public interruption . Quite . Visit the Red Caboose Winery and restaurants. The pool was great with a cup of Red Caboose
Disliked: Extend breakfast until 10 am .
