At 1am the next morning was awoken by the Edmonton police Swat Team in full battle gear brandishing automatic weapons as they conducted a room by room search for someone who was reported to have been seen with a weapon. Was not evacuated nor given an all-clear. Neighbourhood is dirty, loud (motor bikes, loud cars, night clubs, people screaming/yelling, sirens), and did not feel safe (day or night)

Liked: The location is top notch, you're right on Whyte Ave and able to enjoy all the amenities that provides. It's a quick trip to downtown as well as easy access to the West Edmonton Mall. The location is amazing.
Disliked: The hotel held some romantic memories for us. We visited it in 2013 and had an amazing time. This trip was a sort of redo, and it turned out fine. It's just the hotel feels like it hasn't been updated at all since then. In 2013 that wasn't so bad, now in 2024 things are a little dated. The bed we slept in was simply awful, I had back pain every single day. The faucet for the shower worked, but it was loose. The door of the bathroom jammed.All of these things weren't too bad on their own, together, it didn't make for the best experience.

Great location in the heart...

Liked: The hotel location was great as it is within walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores and banks in the area. Located along a major bus route. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was spacious. The staff were very helpful in helping me to extend my booking.
