Nice stay.middle of nowhere. Good...

Liked: Fast service, elevator in the morning - that was nice. All strangers were smiling to each other, great way to start the day
Disliked: I received 10 messages in Dutch through booking messaging. The app does not offer translation option. I don’t know what they wanted of me. And it was too many messages.

Worth staying, good location and...

Liked: Breakfast is good, rooms are spacy and the location is pretty good - 15 min walking distance from the train station.
Disliked: Considering the relatively high price, breakfast choice and the overall impression is somewhat "thin" i.e. pretty modest.

Superb

Liked: Van der valk is one of the best hotels in Holland and the staff is mostly very nice !
Disliked: Some new staff not as nice as they should be and there was not much guests waiting so they had time to be more friendly but maybe young, new and not teached how to be really nice to all guests and of course i compare them to the staff i met back in the years i been staying at Van der Valk 2-4 times a year !

Disappointing

Liked: The breakfast
Disliked: The room - we did not have two separate beds even if this was required. The food in the evening was expensive and not good. The bathtub was dirty, as was the pillowcase, and there were holes in the sheets.

Disliked: When I registered at the hotel, the hotel fee was taken from my credit card by the receptionist. The same hotel fee was charged by boking.com in advance . So I paid the hotel fee twice.After 4-5 days, the hotel fee was refunded by booking.com.This is an unpleasant practice.

Disliked: Cheap toilet paper We Brits would prefer a proper mug for our tea
