Very disappointing

Disliked: No heating, It was freezing cold in the whole hotel which made it very uncomfortable. There is no heating in the bathroom so despite having a lovely bath it was too cold to use.The building works stop over the weekend but the area on each floor is left in a complete mess and fully open which is probably why they are not putting any heating on. Our room was full of dustWhen initially complaining about the state of the area near our room the receptionist advised that the price of the room already reflects the building work - it does not say that there is a reduction because of the works, neither does it say there will be no heating. The restaurant became so cold you could not sit for long and there was no where else to sit as the bar area does not open until the evening. There is nowhere close by to retreat to. Wi-Fi and TV channels not working.Overall a miserable experience.

Liked: Good location of the hotel. Easy to find the hotel. Free parking. Very friendly staff. Cozy room. I was very pleased to have a shower and bath!
Disliked: I was notified that the hotel was undergoing renovation and construction. It didn’t bother me, except that the corridor near the door of my room was dirty and very dusty. It was very dusty in the room on furniture. The TV does not connect to channels or YouTube. There was little sugar for tea.I was disappointed with the bed, which consisted of two mattresses; they kept moving apart.And it would be great if they offered guests a robe and slippers.

Liked: The location and the restaurant
Disliked: No one informed me my floor was where they are doing construction. So at 7am there was building work starting and then I opened my door to dust everywhere. Breakfast was great but then at 9.15am they started preparing the room for lunch and moving tables etc which was very uncomfortable. At check out no one asked 'how was your stay' for me to raise my concerns

Disliked: terrible service attitude of the staff. Empty frigo bar, damaged sink. When I complained about the quality of one main course of the dinner and asked to pay only the side veggies, as I did not touch it, they just were not interested in my feedback and gave me 0 options. I paid the full dinner, complained at the reception and only after a while they called me in the room and I had to get down again to explain for a second time, but the justification was just "everybody likes it". And as a cherry on top, when I checked out and the employee of the reception asked me how was my experience, I honestly said very poor, and he just answered " I cannot do anything else about it, I work for another company, not for the hotel". Summing up: poor service, 0 committment, 0 interest on customer experience. Not what you expect from a 4 star place, I was better treated in 2 stars hotels. Instead of sending 12 emails in dutch (we cannot read them) they should pay more attention to every single customer experience.
