Exceptional

Liked: An ideal location while being surprisingly quiet in the evenings considering how close you are to the beach. I'm a particularly light sleeper and stayed over a bank holiday weekend, but slept very soundly in a nice and comfy bed. The room itself was very clean when I arrived and had everything I was expecting. I saw some reviews mention the water pressure as an issue with their shower. I had no issues with my shower and the ensuite bathroom was as spotless as the rest bedroom. The WiFi was also very good - which is not always a given!I received a warm greeting on arrival and booked into my breakfast slot the next morning. The breakfast itself was excellent, generally I'm not a fan of fried bread as it's normally like concrete, but I now consider myself a convert. There was a good selection on the menu to pick from, but it's hard to resist a full English when it's done quite so well. I had no issues while I stayed, but I suspect if there had been a problem the hosts would have sorted it in no time. They just seemed like genuinely lovely people so I would very much recommend staying here!

Really enjoyed our stay at...

Liked: Great little guest house, literally a two minute walk from the door to the sea. We had a larger room to the front with a good view of the beach off to one side from the bay window. The hosts were really friendly and the breakfast very good. Like a lot of the sea front properties there is no parking but the hosts can provide you with a permit for the long stay car park (about 10 mins walk away) and there is space outside to unload a car first. So no dramas there.

Liked: Good location, comfortable and good value.
Disliked: As someone with vision issues (including night blindness) the stair lighting is not good - hallway / landing lights were not adequate to fully light stairs as you are going up - some sensor strip lighting would make them safer. An issue also arose that I inadvertently created - I received a very ‘brusque’ complaint message from the host after my stay - of course I apologised for my error but the angry tone of the message was upsetting and took the edge off what was an enjoyable few days.
