Just a few minutes' walk from sandy beaches this family-run Grade II listed guest house offers bed and breakfast accommodations with free Wi-Fi on Dorset's beautiful Jurassic coast. Valentine Guest House enjoys immediate access to Weymouth's seafront and its sandy beach. Guests can stroll along the sand's edge and encounter many bars restaurants and at the southern end Weymouth Pier. Some of the traditional comfortable rooms at the Valentine offer views of the bay. All rooms include a TV DVD player and a private bathroom. A short 5-minute stroll inland takes guests to Weymouth Rail Station and range of shops. There are a number of picturesque bays and beaches to be found along the coast within a 30-minute drive.

Lovely room, comfy bed and...

Liked: Hosts were lovely, very good location right by the beach! Accessible from everywhere. Other reviews commented about the parking but the parking they recommended wasn’t even a 5 minute walk and allowed for a quick pit stop at the pub. The bed was sooo comfortable I couldn’t believe it. Room gets nice and dark too and they supplied a fan. Breakfast was lovely. A good kickstart to the morning especially as the chef came in in some chef whites which gave us a chuckle as chefs. The coffee cafetière was huge which was a big bonus. WiFi good. Bathroom everything you needed was there. We had the spacious room with sea view and it was dreamy. The decor itself was homely and couldn’t have wished for a better stay to be honest. We will be back
Disliked: There wasn’t anything that we didn’t particularly like. The house had great upkeep. If I HAD to comment it was that I couldn’t figure out how to start the shower as the power button was off and had to be turned on by the ceiling but that’s a fault of my own and partner figured it out in the morning. Saying that, I know if I messaged the hosts then they would have given us advice but it was late at night and just put it down to me being tired. But that’s really being picky. The hosts were lovely.

Great guest house with sea...

Liked: We had the 4 poster room, the bed was really comfortable and we had a double access sea view. The breakfast was brilliant with lots of choice. We were given a parking permit for a local car park that was a 13 minute walk away so parking wasn't an issue.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like.

Good stay

Liked: Friendly hosts. The location is pretty good, very close to the seafront. Slept well, and breakfast was decent.
Disliked: Could do with some better curtains, so thin they block out no light at all.
