Upper Room Hotel Kurfürstendamm

Very good

Liked: Localisation is perfect, stuff were very polite and helpful and we didn't have any difficulties :)
Disliked: It was a little bit noisy in the morning as the hotel is very close to the street and some of the door were very heavy

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. Security is top notch. Location is very good.
Disliked: Wall was thin. Noise was coming from other rooms.

Perfectly located antique hotel

Liked: We like the old/antique feeling of the building and the location is perfect. Public transport is close and easy to get to the rest of the city.
Disliked: We would have liked to have coffee in the room in stead of only tea.

Very nice hotel

Liked: I really enjoyed cleanness of the room, quality of bed and bedding sheets. Breakfast was excellent too.
Disliked: Luck of sofas in lobby

Could improve if the AC...

Disliked: No air conditioning and the shower soap was really bad

Liked: the room was lovely. spotlessly clean. nice and cosy.
Disliked: reception on the 4th floor and for those of us who don't use lifts it was torture.when you first walk into the entrance hall its frightening. Old and dark with a lot of people hanging about on steps

Disliked: They have to fix the curtains. Light enterns from them simce the very beginning of the day. They are short in one side. Don't cover the window properly.

A perfectly agreeable budget stay...

Liked: This is a budget hotel, that does not pretend to be anything but just a budget hotel. Yet, it has an excellent location, the rooms are kept clean, and the breakfast is comparable to that in more expensive hotels. The building itself has a sort of pre-war atmosphere, even if the renovation appears to have been somewhat heavy-handed. A big plus for perfectly functioning internet. That is not a commonplace in Berlin hotels!
Disliked: My single room had more wall height than floor surface, and the bed felt like it was roughly 50 cm wide. But again, this is what I paid for, and I suppose that the double or family rooms are bigger.
