The outdoor area is nice if you want to sit out and enjoy the evening. Very pretty!

Liked: Very nice customer service at check in and the outdoor area is so nice!
Disliked: Small room with a bathroom door right next to the door to the hallways.

One of the reasons we picked them was because the ad said there was a hot tub so that was very disappointing.

Liked: The staff/service/breakfast. Free shuttle service!
Disliked: No Hot Tub!

The help wasn't very friendly and when I checked out she didn't ask about our stay or say thank you. We liked the room, just wished there were more places to eat around it.

Liked: Nice rooms; good breakfast bar.
Disliked: WiFi didn't work; the check in and check out clerks need to learn customer service.

Poor - 1 out of 5

Lagena S, Branson, visiting Hammons Field Mon, 7 July 2014

I work at a large resort in Branson - I understand the overbooking policy. However, when your fiance is 6ft 3 and you request a King and get a double double it is not at all convenient. I was disappointed at the run down way the room looked, with no microwave and that thing you call a coffee pot. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable - woke up with a back ache and a head ache. This may not have been any different in a king room but to be given a double double when you book a king is just wrong - someone needs to pay attention to what is available and shut the third party sites down - we do. It did not help that the front office staff were very snippy. I will not return to this facility.

Liked: Breakfast.
Disliked: Wrong room.

Great room / loved the couch in front of the TV. Good lighting and plenty of mirrors. We ate at the restaurant for our Friday evening meal and it was fantastic. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations. All of the service / front desk, housekeeping and restaurant was above most hotels. Thank you for a great stay. We will use the University Plaza Hotel in the future.

The location of University Plaza Hotel is great for many events in downtown Springfield. It is located in a beautiful, historical neighborhood. The prices are reasonable.

Liked: Friendly staff, clean rooms.
Disliked: Eggs, gravy and items on the hot breakfast bar are not the best.

Staff very friendly; breakfast was wonderful; loved the closeness to the JQH Arena - was there for an event. Liked that there was a shuttle, even though we walked because it was a beautiful day. I would book again for next event.
