The Union Hotel is in the center of Penzance. A 5-minute walk from the sea the 17th-century building houses Hamilton's Restaurant and also Nelson's Bar where there is free WiFi. Rooms at The Union Hotel retain their traditional style many have excellent sea views of Mount's Bay and most are en suite. All are centrally heated and have a TV a radio and tea and coffee facilities. A full English breakfast is served in the theater bar visited by Charles Dickens when he stayed at the hotel. The restaurant serves homemade dishes using produce from the local area. Guests can enjoy live music at the weekends in the on-site bar. Penzance has an array of restaurants offering Cornish cuisine as well as globally influenced menus. The town's cinema and theater are a 2-minute walk from the hotel with a selection of bars and coffee shops even closer.

Nice historical building, but be...

Liked: History of building and reception's (Mike) great helpfulness for a very late / delayed train arrival.
Disliked: Room advertised as having a "Sea View". Room 30 can only see the sea if right up tight against the window glass and then looking far right. Basically this is false advertising. Also, the breakfast is very basic with little charm in the stand in room that was being used. Bacon overcooked with texture of shoe leather, sausage made from cheap ingredients. Expensive stay for what it was.

Liked: The Hotel is conveniently located in the centre of town . The staff are very polite , friendly and helpful.The room I stayed in was very large for a single room and it was very quiet .

This was a no- stress...

Liked: Warm and friendly staff. Warm and clean rooms.Quiet night, if you can ignore the Sea Gulls.Breakfast was well done as well.
Disliked: No lift. With my room on the top floor.

Liked: Breakfast exceptional, perfect location, parking available. Good bar. Relaxing and comfortable base from which to enjoy Penzance. Will stay again.
Disliked: Furnishings and decor in room little basic, pictures in room 9 a bit inappropriate?

Nice staff and ok location.

Liked: Nice breakfast, nice bar and pleasant staff.
Disliked: Tiny room at the top of many stairs, no wifi in the room. Parking is very difficult to access and on road parking near the hotel is almost impossible before 6pm.
