The Unicorn Hotel lies on the banks of the River Trent in the village of Gunthorpe 13 miles from Nottingham. This Marstons Inn has a restaurant and bar with outdoor terrace and free Wi-Fi access. Definitely recommend

Liked: Friendly staff, child friendly, great food, large room, clean and lovely location.
Disliked: No complaints! Could hear faint music at night but it wasn't from the restaurant or hotel so I assume it was other guests. Wasn't enough to disturb sleep though.

Liked: Great pub next to the river, with very comfortable rooms. Great car parking back and front. Suitable for vans.

Did the job but unlikely...

Liked: Friendly staff. Access to pub and food.
Disliked: Very run down hotel. Bathroom tiny and TV didn’t work.

Very good

Liked: Love the view over the river. Good parking. Room comfortable. Staff polite and helpful.
Disliked: 2 night stay. Sugar and decaf coffee sachets not replenished. Drinking Glasses not washed or replaced however mugs were.Only one set of towels in room on arrival. Another provided when we asked.

Good value stay and the...

Liked: Location for work meeting good. Easy parking and staff were brilliant.
Disliked: Bit noisy rooms midnight noise from people coming back to rooms then deciding to have a loud conversation in the hallway.
