A pleasant stay in this...

Liked: The room, the grounds and the breakfast.
Disliked: All ok

Liked: The grounds are lovely; room large and comfortable
Disliked: No lift so second floor room means less attractive for us oldies. Food not really good enough (bar menu used to be better and available until 9pm) and (without car) no alternative to restaurant - service friendly but pretty well everyone got the wrong dish first time round.

Liked: Lovely area, peaceful, nice breakfast, and the lady at reception who resolved an issue was very helpful and kind.
Disliked: Wasn’t happy with the room we was given on arrival, it had sandwhich boxes, bottles, used towels, used bedding and a messy bed, rubbish scattered around with used up utilities. Thankfully they gave us a different room however I was not happy about the first room, I put a special request for my girlfriends birthday that got “accepted” as shown on email and for me to bring her into that room I was so dissapointed.

Disliked: Spa was lacking tiny sauna and one tiny jacuzzi for such a massive hotel we expected more

Liked: Location and ambience. Staff were keen to assist.Gardens were lovely. Gardening team did a good job caring for them.
Disliked: Menu didn't change over the four days of our stay, and even the specials ( Catch of the day) didn't change.A hotel of this class should cater for guests staying more than one night.

Liked: Big warm outdoors pool and a beautiful lounge
Disliked: You can only eat at a lounge (outdoors also) until 6pm on a weekdays. Otherwise had to sit in a warm restaurant indoors, which made no sense as we had the hottest days of the year!
