Great for a family gathering

Liked: We were attending my cousin's wedding anniversary with family. A fabulous place for celebrating. Lots of car parking, easy access to the library, 2 terraces, dining room & gardens. Everywhere beautifully attired. Food was excellent, however breakfast was a bit chaotic on Sunday morning: everyone seemed to arrive at once. Bedroom was a fair distance from reception but very quiet and comfortable. Did not use either of the swimming pools.
Disliked: Breakfast organisation: some people had to queue in the corridor before getting a table, not quite what you'd expect from such a prestigious hotel.

Beautiful but disappointing

Liked: The property itself is beautiful, glorious grounds and beautiful architecture.
Disliked: Unfortunately while we were there no one made our room up even after we asked and complained.I was also served a drink in an obviously dirty glass and my room service food was undercooked and unpleasant. We did complain and staff were accommodating but for a luxury small hotel I’d expect more.

Great place but some details...

Liked: Great pool and facilities except that the sauna and changing rooms are very small and the sauna was out of order. Beautiful gardens and the staff are really nice people. Rooms are also big and spacious.
Disliked: The breakfast menu stated different types of coffees yet when we ordered one of them were told it is only filtered coffee or tea. Bread options also not available except sliced toast. Should be able to offer all things that are on the menu. Toiletries not properly refilled in the bathroom.

Fabulous building and grounds

Liked: Fabulous communal spaces and grounds. Nice spa.
Disliked: There were a couple of really big parties staying whilst we were there and the staff (who were all excellent) seemed to be stretched thin at times.
