Excellent, we hope to come...

Liked: food was lovely and no one hurried us at breakfast which was appreciated .The pools and grounds are simply gorgeous and the staff are high calibre.
Disliked: one tiny point- there isn't good bedside lighting. It could do with some of those pencil lights , fixed to the bedhead, that I've seen elsewhere, as an alternative to the 'soft lighting' lamps.

An excellent location for a...

Liked: Fabulous long weekend. Staff were on the whole excellent and couldn't do enough. We decided to take up the Clay Pigeon Shooting which turned into the highlight of the weekend - Brian, who has been at the Hall since the 80s was an absolute gem and made it a very enjoyable experience for two nervous newbies (we definitely found it not as hard as you might think). Food was another highlight - every meal was excellent, nicely paced and served with a smile. Chefs are clearly top drawer. Outdoor pool was like a warm bath though it was dominated by small children which made it a less than relaxing experience. Still, there is a huge amount of other things to do. I used the gym while my wife took a an aromatherapy massage etc. All in all a fabulous stay in stunning grounds.
Disliked: Waiting 30 minutes for a table on Sunday morning breakfast despite agreeing a time was disappointing and the service felt tense to say the least. We'd wished we'd opted for an early slot...
