Liked: The beds were horrendous! The headboards not attached. Felt like one of those camping mattresses or a futon!
Disliked: Location was nice. Nice bar and restaurant though did not eat there as we were too late. Staff very nice

Liked: Location, bed OK...Lots of floorspace for our dogs
Disliked: Had to use 6 baby wipes to clean dirty floor that turned my clean sox black! Mold in shower and edge of shower curtain. No coffee service in room, only found out coffee was "free' when i went to the restaurant to buy some...VERY awkward check in set up..sign said to go to restaurant, then told to go to the bar where all the barflies glared at me

Coupeville on a budget

Liked: Was inexpensive and I could drive up to the door. Also there is a good, but expensive grocery store across the street. The restaurant that is part of the motel, though not in the same building, has a nice atmosphere but the fish and chips are very average. It fills you up though, and the salad I had was excellent.
Disliked: Blue towels. They can’t be sterilized. Who knows what funk is in there. Also it’s ancient, and while that kitsch can be fun, when it comes with thin walls and a bathroom exhaust fan from 1937 in the next room, it makes for a loud never ending thunder rumble in the room I was staying in. The staff was up and down. One guy was very friendly but other than him they were pretty lifeless, seemingly uninterested and stuck, and/or improperly trained.

A Great place to stay...

Liked: I was traveling on Memorial Day weekend so the price was a little higher than usual which is OK. The building was older and the room pretty basic. No problems getting WIFI. Cable TV was excellent for selection. Bed was really comfortable. Coupeville is a growing concern and had a really nice coffee shop just down the Ave. The grocery store across the street had everything I could want. The Hotel restaurant served a decent breakfast and the small local bar next to it was well stocked. Everyone was friendly.
Disliked: This is no reflection on the Tyee but because there was a big event in Oak Harbor, all the usual places doubled their fees or more, so I had to find a place in Coupeville twenty minutes away from my relatives.
