Set in a 16th-century farmhouse Ty Mawr Country Hotel features cozy log fires original features and scenic views. On the edge of Brecha Forest the hotel offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. The individually designed bedrooms at Ty Mawr each have a private bathroom with fluffy bathrobes. Rooms also feature a TV hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Many rooms have exposed beams or stone walls and some have seating areas. The Ty Mawr Country Restaurant serves a traditional Welsh menu using local produce which changes daily. Fresh fish and Welsh Black Beef often feature and delicious cooked breakfasts are served each morning. Surrounded by beautiful countryside Ty Mawr Hotel is just 30 minutes' drive from the Brecon Beacons National Park. Carmarthen is a 20-minute drive away and the M4 motorway can be reached in 25 minutes' drive.

A perfect country retreat

Liked: Very warm welcome from the owner, David, and his dog! The room was very comfortable with a view of the garden.Dinner was exceptional.

Great place for a short...

Liked: The hotel is very well taken care and the food was very good. I really liked that they are dog friendly, though this comes as an extra charge. Electric charger is a great benefit.
Disliked: From the picture it looks that hotel has a huge territory. In reality the outdoor space is not very big, the hotel is facing main road and the closest supermarket is 20 min drive.

What a gorgeous place! One...

Liked: This country hotel is absolutely beautiful, set in a very peaceful, calming location. Me and my friend visited for a one-night stay and cannot fault the service, food, or room. Our room overlooked the garden and we could hear the river, which was lovely. Owners David and Gill, alongside their staff (Claire) were attentive and kind from the moment we arrived. I'm pregnant and my friend has severe allergies, and they accommodated us both without a second thought. The bed was SO comfortable, and the amenities provided in the room were very generous. It really does feel like a home from home.Also, their dog Buster is a (very excitable) sweetheart.All in all, our time at Ty Mawr was over all too quickly, and we can't wait to stay again.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike!
