All in all, tho the...

Liked: This lodge is an old-school mountain motor hotel - just what I was looking for in this area. It was dated but clean, the beds and pillows were comfy and since we had 2 rooms, it was nice that we had a door between the rooms to go back and forth. Parking was right outside the door.
Disliked: The air conditioner was quite noisy tho it became a white-noise for getting to sleep.

Liked: Great location between Bryson City &;Cherokee. Beds were so comfortable. Beautiful area to sit by the river or sit by the fire.

Would recommend for a family...

Liked: The area was perfect, being right on the river and the fire pit was our favorite. Perfect for a family getaway
Disliked: The beds were very hard to sleep on but overall everything was perfect

Loved this place...so did my...

Liked: We loved the nice mowed lawn and the pavilion and fire pit along the riverfront. Our family had a great evening fishing, pitching ball, sitting around a fire, and grilling hot dogs for supper. The room was spacious and had new carpet and bed. The heater worked great and kept the room spot on comfortable. LOVED the old fashioned, 2 separate handles controling the shower water...didn't have to fiddle with a contraption for 10 minutes to get the temperature survivable!
Disliked: Unfortunate that dog barking was bad next door in early morning at the kennel. That was the only drawback.
