This budget-friendly spot brings you within easy reach of San Francisco’s top music venues and nightlife, while still giving you a peaceful place to crash after the show. Expect simple rooms, some with private bathrooms, and satellite TV — all with free Wi-Fi and city views.

Why Concert-goers love it

Just a short drive or quick ride-share from major venues like the Fillmore and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Twin Peaks Hotel makes it easy to get to and from your show. With a 24-hour front desk and flexible check-out as early as 5:00 AM, late nights and early flights aren’t a problem. Located in a well-connected part of the city, public transit and ride-shares are readily available.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a central, affordable home base
  • Solo travelers chasing a dream concert night
  • Couples making a weekend of live music and city exploring
  • Fans wanting somewhere quiet to rest post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers

Food and Drink Options

You won’t find on-site dining, but the hotel’s location shines here — step outside and you’re surrounded by walkable eateries, coffee shops, and late-night bites. From ramen to burritos to cozy cafés, there’s something for every post-concert craving. While there’s no breakfast offered in-house, nearby diners and bakeries open early for a morning refuel.

Nightlife Options

The Castro District is known for its vibrant nightlife, so you’re never far from a good time. Whether you’re in the mood for laid-back lounges, bustling bars, or live DJ sets, you’ll find it just a short stroll away. While there’s no bar in the hotel itself, the neighborhood more than makes up for it.

What People Say

Guests love the affordable rates for such a prime location, along with the friendly staff and clean rooms. Many highlight how easy it is to get around the city and how perfect the area is for those wanting to explore San Francisco’s nightlife and music scene. The free Wi-Fi is a plus for streaming or looking up last-minute show details.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side and fairly basic — think more “crash pad” than luxury suite. Not all rooms have private bathrooms, so double-check when booking. No AC can be a minor issue in warmer months, though San Francisco’s cool climate helps.

The Bottom Line

If you're after a clean, simple, and affordable stay close to San Francisco’s top concert venues and nightlife, Twin Peaks Hotel is a solid pick.

Good location. But there have...

Liked: Great location!!!
Disliked: The night we stayed, we were woken up at 2 a.m. by one of the guests screaming downstairs. He screamed for hours, and we didn't hear anyone from the hotel responding. It was an extremely unpleasant and frightening situation, as the guest seemed completely out of control. Afterward, we couldn't sleep and had to hit the road at 5:30 a.m. In other words, we lost a night's sleep because of this episode.

I stay here once or...

Liked: Rooms and shared bathrooms were clean. No bugs, whatsoever.
Disliked: As I get older, I really wish there were an elevator. It’s really not a complaint about the property as much as my own aging body hating 2 flights of stairs.

Confortable, great location, quiet.

Liked: The location is in the heart of Castro, everything is nearby and walkable.
Disliked: The walls and things can use a hand of painting. Other people can see you whenever you are showering in the bathroom.

Poor

Liked: Great location
Disliked: I had no power in my room from time to time, which made it difficult as I wear a CPAP machine. When I reported it to the front desk attendant then said it was the breaker and they would resit and then told me not to plug too many things in,
