A nice isolated location for...

Liked: This "resort" is rather remote, with a 1/4-mile-long unpaved driveway from the road, but that of course results in it being a quiet and isolated place. It is primarily geared towards people fishing the nearby Salmon River or enjoying winter activities. It is set up with a separate chest-type freezer for customer-caught fish, and has a small kitchen with eating area that could be used to fix your own meals. The owner provides "breakfast food" during morning hours, but what they provide did not appeal to us (but might be fine for others). The rustic style of the place contrasts with the "resort" name, but we were told by a guy who comes here to fish that it is a great place for anyone who loves fishing, since the Salmon River has a variety of excellent and large-sized fish; he comes up from PA frequently to enjoy fishing in the area.
Disliked: We had to drive quite a distance to get a good dinner meal, which turned out to be not as good as hoped. This is, of course, the expected outcome of staying in a remote place.

Liked: Took advantage of the UTV rental this time. This was our second stay with Tug Hill resort. The owners are helpful, approachable and invested in their guests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The resort has a lot to offer in an absolutely beautiful location! Highly recommended.
Disliked: Honestly, I didn't like leaving. Wanted to stay longer.

Liked: Great place! The owners are very nice, and we felt very welcome. Room was very clean. Comfy beds. There's a fully equipped kitchen, we were able to bring and cook our own dinner, and they even provided a free breakfast for us, with a big variety of options to choose from. Beautiful natural surroundings, lake, forest and hiking trails.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about. We didn't like that we had no time stay longer :(
