Very pleasant apart from first...

Liked: Setting was lovely. The main building was very nice.
Disliked: The wooden Hobbit huts. My first night was very uncomfortable given I am 72 and 6ft 4ins tall. Very little space to be able to stand upright. I mentioned this and Hotel moved me into a standard room which was far more acceptable.

Liked: Nice setting by the Mill Pond & decor in the hotel was lovely. Room had a nice terrace. Food was nice & good champagne.Bathrobes, soft towels, bath & shower in good order. Lovely swans gliding past. Well- placed for Newmarket.
Disliked: Reception not v attractive & rarely manned. Footpath past our room with full length glass doors meant we either frightened the walkers or kept the blinds down! The big tent in the grounds is a bit of an eyesore.

Liked: Lots of little extras in the room which makes such a difference. Bed very comfortable.Diffuser made the room smell amazing!Breakfast very lovely!! A really enjoyable stay.
Disliked: Paintwork in the bedroom area was a little worn but that’s a minor thing and did not spoil our stay.

Liked: Staff a delight and very helpful and efficient. Location and facilities a dream. Simple and elegant, and takes advantage of beautiful location and surroundings. A pleasure.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
