Trumbles Gatwick B&B

Exceptional

Liked: Our host, David picked us up from Gatwick and took us back to the airport resulting in a seamless journey. Trumbles is a charming and very comfortable guest house on tje edge of a little village with two pubs and a Café.
Disliked: Nothing.

A traditional and excellent B...

We only stayed 2 nights,...

Liked: We were collected from Gatwick Airport at night. The breakfasts were very good. It is advertised as a B&B. So I made the mistake of believing that Breakfast was included automatically, but it was not. We paid the extra. We thought that the setting was beautiful.
Disliked: Our bathroom was huge, but the shower small, with the door opening inward. The floor is a bit slippery.All the rooms are on the second floor, with no lift. We are in our 70s and 80s and came after 5 weeks of travel, huge suitcases. We were assured that that there would be help. On arrival arrival there was was help. Departure, we were told collect by the front door 7am, not to disturb them as they would be asleep until then.You need a car. They were good enough to collect us in the village the next day. We'd walked in, but it as raining on the way back. You need to get into the village again for dinner and walk back. Hopefully it is not raining. During the day the hedgerows are lovely. At night there is no pavement or street light.

Wonderful comfortable short stay option,...

Liked: It was great being able to pick options for bfast the nite before. And the access and ability to get breakfast basics (yogurt, cereal, fruit, juices) before the start of general breakfast hours made leaving for our early flight a breeze.David and Julia made transportation easy with their $10 taxi fee. We used that for a drop off and pick up at the local pubs. The best thing was their customer service.....they made sure that one of the pubs would serve us when we arrived late our first night. And they got us to the airport for our morning flight.Room # 1 was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Great bed, and a wonderful bathroom with a great shower. It had a mini refer, and kettle,with tea, hot chocolate, instant coffee, and some cookies and chocolates. The linens were changed daily.
Disliked: We had a problem finding their shuttle service when we arrived at Gatwick.

Again had a wonderful break....

Liked: Had an early start but lovely continental breakfast provided for me to help.myself to. Shuttle trip to the airport at 7am on a Saturday morning was very appreciated.Second time I have stayed here & hope to do so again. Wonderful!
Disliked: Carrying a large suitcase up/ down stairs not for the elderly or faint-hearted but a delightful room so worth the effort!
