Very frustrating and was caused...

Liked: It was close to the Portland Airport.
Disliked: The reason I booked this room was because I planned to fly to Tucson for the weekend, and the cost of airport parking has become outrageously high. I found this property online and chose it specifically because of the reviews, which consistently stated that parking was easy and did not require a reservation—it could simply be handled at check-in.Before making the reservation, I contacted the property directly and clearly explained my intentions. I was never informed that booking had to be made through Hilton directly in order to qualify for parking. Based on that assurance, I went ahead and booked the room.However, upon check-in, I was told there was no way I’d be able to park on Hilton property and that nothing could be done to help me. They offered to give me names of third-party parking companies, but their rates were nearly as high as the airport itself. By 9:00 p.m., I didn’t feel comfortable trying to navigate a new parking service so late in the evening. I ended up having no choice but to park at the airport—at a cost of $94—when I had originally estimated parking at Hilton would cost around $40.This experience was extremely frustrating, especially considering I tried to do everything the right way by calling ahead and confirming. I hope this situation can be addressed, as it left me feeling misled and unnecessarily out-of-pocket.
