Troy Inn & Suites

Saw a different side of Detroit on this trip. Being from the West side of Michigan I have not been impressed with the Detroit area in the past. I guess I was just on the wrong side of the tracks on prior visits.

Liked: Clean and friendly. Atmosphere.
Disliked: None come to mind.

Liked: Under construction, so that was too bad, but the room and staff were nice! Would have been good to be told before booking that some facilities and breakfast were not actually included.
Disliked: Construction, but not their fault. Again, being told some offerings were not running would have been nice.

Liked: We arrived at midnight, and the receptionist was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Despite the late hour, she made us feel comfortable and at ease, handling everything like a true professional.

Disliked: Place is under construction so there is no breakfast which booking.com needs to update and let people be aware that there is no breakfast or pool and is under construction. Don't blame the hotel for this. I blame booking.com. I think I will book through a different site from now on
