Served it's purpose

Liked: Friendly staff, good shower, good location, comfy bed, late check out was 2pm - fantastic
Disliked: It was quite dilapidated, but it had what I needed for one night. I didn't dare sit on the couch it must have had 20 years of grime on it.

Quite derelict but great location...

Liked: Location was great. Views were great. Convenient parking on property & the apartment was spacious
Disliked: Old, outdated needs urgent renovation. Shower didn’t work. Lift didn’t show which floor you were on. Filthy windows & were corroded. Front door hard to open. Generally very old & run down

Disappointing

Liked: Location was very central
Disliked: Mix of experiences with reception, on arrival I wanted to drop a bag, before I even managed to ask the person on the desk was quite rude about me arriving at 11am. It was fine to drop a bag in the end once I got the opportunity to ask but was a bit of an unpleasant start to the stay. At other times people were nice, I guess I caught someone on a bad day.

Exceptional

Liked: I was injured during our holiday and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. It's not the flashest place in Van West but it's undoubtedly the most spacious and helpful. I'll always stay here as long as it exists.
Disliked: The furnishings, with the exception of the beds, wete last upated in the 80s. So if that sort of thing matters to you, stay elsewhere. The beds do the job, and I'm pretty picky about beds and sleeping. Having a separate kitchen and sitting room is so much better than being stuck in a tiny hotel room.

Liked: Within its price range and allocation, it’s a very good hotel. Not everything works perfectly come up with the staff go away above expectation to help.
