In hindsight, would have paid...

Liked: Proximity to the city centre.Plenty of nearby eateries.
Disliked: Not very clean - bathroom had mould, lizards and cockroaches in room, bugs in bed.

Is a good hotel if...

Liked: The property was in a good location and was good for sleeping.
Disliked: There were a few people staying that appeared to be longer term tenants, these people were sitting in all the main passage ways smoking. One of which was directly next door where they would sit taking up the entire front walkway and smoke, not only blocking the walkway but forcing us to have to endure the smoke with two little kids in tow. The shower was also awful, it would change from freezing cold to boiling hot without having touched either of the taps. Which is extremely unsafe for young children but also really anyone.

Guve it a miss

Liked: Good locarion
Disliked: The facility is being used as emergency housing, which is fine but it doesnt tell you about this first. Ammenities are not good. Shower was completley dysfuntional and couldnt be used, aircon is from the bygone ages and not particularly clean and way overpriced considering

Disappointing Stay

Liked: The receptionist Simone was super nice and helpful.
Disliked: The facilities are old. It is a motel, not a hotel, as it claims in the description, and you can tell the difference. Also, the location is close to the sea, but on the other extreme of the center of Cairns, so it is not convenient to move walking. The walls are paper thin, so unfortunately, we were able to hear the yelling of the kid from the family next door every day. The beds are uncomfortable and very worn, not good to spend more than one night. The water from the shower has 0 pressure, so you can be long having a very simple normal shower.
