Birthday trip turned into a...

Liked: The rooms were spacious.
Disliked: On arrival identification was asked for two individuals from the group. IDs were never returned and police were called to report this. Reception staff that were on duty explained there was cctv the cctv provided was him giving us our hotel cards not having our ids returned. Was informed that no towels were available in the room but towels were in room but was told a “hairdryer” could be given if we were wanting to take a shower. Turns out the shower was broken anyway so wasn’t able to use the shower. When explaining this to the manager in the morning he explained that this was working and there was “nothing wrong with the shower”. Noise throughout the night was ridiculous noisy neighbours loud music up until 5 am in the morning. One of my friends actually left and got a taxi back to Leicester because it was impossible to sleep. Sent a formal complaint via email to manager. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in and was for my birthday.

Liked: The building looked quirky
Disliked: Homeless people loitering around, really run down area, room wasn’t cleaned properly, no pressure shower very annoying, wobbly banister, broken furniture.

A very comfortable and pleasant...

Liked: Very clean and comfortable room with good facilities for budget traveller. A stylish conversion of an old interesting industrial building with loads of character. Very useful mini kitchen with facilities to warm up food and make hot drinks, and a medium small fridge to keep drinks and food cold. One USB charging point is available and other power sockets. There was free parking available in the adjacent street. Quite central and a short bus hop available into city centre. Great place to stay for a short city break to a lively and interesting City with plenty of attractions.
Disliked: There could be more storage solutions, and more USB charging points.
