Fantastic place!

Liked: The location is perfect for getting around the city on foot or bus.The rooms are compact but well organzied so it doesn't feel cramped.The breakfast is excellent!
Disliked: There could be more outlets in the rooms - there wasn't an outlet close to mirror for drying hair and one bed side table didn't have any power outlets. But we made it work and the hotel has extension cords available.There are NO elevators beacuse of the historic nature of the hotel. The staff will carry your bags to your room so that's not really an issue but if stairs are a problem, just ask for a room on the first floor

Liked: The staff were friendly and very helpful The location is excellent in a quiet street while still within easy walking distance of anything you want to do in Dublin with the added bonus of a wonderful Italian restaurant right next door.Breakfast was a set menu which is OK for 4 days, basic but good and staff very good.
Disliked: Let's start with what can be easily fixed.We have stayed around the world at accommodation ranging from 5+ Star luxury resorts to outback pubs in Australia and trinity has the smallest and thinnest bath towels we have ever encountered. Not much bigger than an oversized bath mat. Spend some money and upgrade the towels.First impressions nice room and then some practical considerations come onto play.No draws and limited shelving for two people so living out of suitcase not a big deal.No desk so if wanting to use laptop then couch and coffee table but would need extension lead. So I used ironing board. Basin and mirror outside bathroom (showe/toilet) different but ok. Problem is no light over mirror to help with shaving or my wife putting on make-up. Can't move the basin but hotel could readily install lights Floor boards creak so if you have night owls or insomniacs on floor above can be an issue as it was for us one night.. Not much the hotel can do without major renovations. Finally a significant issue for some to note!!!Accommodation is both within the reception building and in the building across the road.We were across the road. No big deal as narrow and not a busy street. However there are no lifts. Thankfully my wife and I are fit so not an issue but for those with any walking problems etc I would strongly suggest the hotel provides a written commitment that you will be in a ground floor room before paying.We were on the first floor and it was great that the reception clerk Isaac helped me with the larger bags.
