Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Rudolph, Groveland, visiting Daily's Place Amphitheater Fri, 30 June 2017

I was very disappointed; the picture and the rating they had on the website was false advertisement. The building was poorly maintained; the room smell like mold and the place gave you unsafe feelings. I was glad I only had to stay just one night.

Liked: The young lady at the desk helped me out with directions.
Disliked: The room had a bad mold smell; the room as well as the entire building was poorly maintained.

That's all.

Liked: There wasn't anything great that stood out really.
Disliked: Well the property had advertised "free breakfast" as a part of this booking. As it turned out, it was a total lie and deception of the customers to lure them in. When we got to the hotel, there was a note on the window stating that breakfast was "temporarily suspended" due to Covid. (This was March 26th 2021 when we arrived, and Covid started in the US sometime around February 2020, over one year before). I asked the receptionist if they just discovered there was a Covid going around the world, and she couldn't answer. The hotel ad, including "free breakfast" was the ad of that day on the internet yet for over ONE year they have closed their breakfast lines. What a lie on the part of the hotel owners and managers! And what an insult to every customer that gets lured in by their false and misleading lies. other than this, the room was dirty and there was a cockroach in there. But overall I think the place has potential. It just needs good and sincere customer service.

RUN!!!

Liked: NOTHING
Disliked: The location was not safe. The room was not really clean, but furniture had been updated nicely. This must be an extended stay hotel because residents hung out to the wee hours of the morning. Doors slamming and people hanging out to 4 am. I witnessed a drug transaction, I DID NOT FEEL SAFE. I DID NOT SLEEP IN THE ROOM. Rested til 5 am and got back on the road where I went to a rest area to sleep before continuing my 7 hour drive home. The staff was EXTREMELY nice, but they can?t make up for their residents/customers! This is not for tourists or families. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! VERY VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, even just for a layover to rest while traveling a great distance.
