Treasure Island - TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

We were a bit disappointed in the hotel. In fairness, maybe it was because we had just checked out of the Encore and it was 'over the top', but we expected a little more cleanliness from Treasure Island, but loved the tram system nearby and location in general.

Liked: Front desk, Michael, was very helpful with accommodation and directions; very patient and pleasant.
Disliked: Pillow cover on bed had black dirt marks; lounge chair stained and dirty; picked up what looked like wadded up paper towel under desk - ugh.

Superb

Liked: It's been about 10 years since I last stayed at TI. I was curious how it held up and was maintained since then. My impression is that the property has been well kept and still has solid, luxury feel in all parts. I did not smell smoke anywhere.
Disliked: Minor - I adjusted the tank filling screw in the toilet tank. The toilet repeatedly would not stop running water after each flush. TI is towards one end of the strip, so getting to other attractions on the strip takes a longer walk or short Uber/taxi ride.

Dont go there, the stuff...

Liked: location is amazing
Disliked: The casino smells bad, and one of the receptionists was very aggressive and tough in dealing with me with no reason.

Passable

Checking in and out were...

Liked: The room was fine. The staff were kind and helpful.
Disliked: It took ages to get checked in (very long lines) and to the room (the elevatos were nearly a competitive sport with people jumping in ahead of those who were waiting). I also just received notification that I needed to physically check out, something I've not done at a hotel in years- but I didn't get the notice until I was far away from the hotel and outside the window of checkout due to being without wifi service while traveling. I don't know yet if we will receive an added fee.

It was the best decision...

A great place to stay.

Liked: The property was clean & in a quiet location. Our room was clean, the hallways didn’t smell of smoke…which was very important to us. We spent time at the sports bar and the waitresses were always kind and professional. The food was very good & reasonably priced. I visited the bathrooms and they were clean. I remarked to the one house cleaner that she did a great job. The Starbucks was convenient and both gift shops were nice. The valet and baggage handlers were professional and kind.
Disliked: We wish there was a “lounge area” with couches and chairs that is not part of a restaurant or gambling area. The ice cream shop next to Starbucks was not that tasty, thought the staff was kind.

Good hotel in the middle...

Liked: The hotel was right in the middle of the strip, so it was great to get to all the other places .
Disliked: The Pho Vietnamese restaurant was pretty poor food wise as it was nowhere near how Vietnamese food tastes. The staff in there were brilliant, just the food was a real let down.
