Great Location, Quiet and Friendly...

Liked: Staying here was the perfect choice. 10 min walk everywhere you would want to be. Nearby viaduct harbor with great restaurants, the mall with an amazing open food concept, the skyline, the rental car, the ferries, its a no brainer. It felt expensive until we compared with all other hotels nearby. The value was great. Very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, ask for the blanket if you get cold, its amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful. They gave us very good advise about what to do and what not to do. The views from the rooms were very nice. The harbor view was great and also the city view. The parking is right next door at $49 a night comparable with everything else or you can leave the car for free overnight if you can wake up by 8 am to move it. There are various food venues downstairs that were perfect for our group. The continental style breakfast downstairs was enough for some and there are asian restaurants with amazing food as well as a grocery store if you come back early enough at night, it is very well stocked. Even the medication is amazing in case you get sick. Loved meeting latin people who work there and at the restaurant so it felt like home.
Disliked: 5 days prior yet outside of the booking.com cancellation date we asked to cancel one night upon our return after spending 4 nights with 3 rooms and it was not possible when other hotels were accommodating and they seemed to be fully booked so I am not sure why not. Travel plans change. It worked out good for us in the end. We loved Auckland. Also would have like the coffee machine to be an all day one but it stops at 10:30, leaving us having to go walk and find something else nearby.

Disliked: Check in was strange, we were told one of our bookings was cancelled...had to insist they look again. I had the booking reference on my phone, so was confused as to why the person said one of the bookings was cancelled. However, no other complaints and would definitely stay again. great value.

Good but a lil expenny

Liked: The staff are lovely and super friendly, the location was perfect and good for people who want to be close to the city but not fully in there. The rooms while on the smaller side are nice and clean. I think there are deffs better options for the amount of money you’re paying but location was lovely and so were staff.
Disliked: The parking situation was a bit tricky, we were told in advance and then upon check in that the parking would be validated by the hotel at check out. However we were not told that the first 4 floors are reserved private parking, this meant that our car was towed and we ended up having to pay $300 to get the car back :( it could’ve been our fault for assuming the car parks were reserved for hotel guests but I think it would’ve of been nice to just know so we didn’t have to pay an extra $300. All in all, the staff were actually super lovely but just a heads up for people who are wanting to bring a car to Travelodge.
