The Spotlight on Travelodge Edinburgh Dreghorn

Affordable Comfort on the Edge of Edinburgh

Modern and value-driven, Travelodge Edinburgh Dreghorn sits just off the A720 City Bypass, offering easy access into central Edinburgh without the noise of the city centre. This no-frills hotel is all about convenience and comfort, with friendly staff, essential amenities, and a peaceful setting that’s perfect after a high-energy night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

Getting to and from gigs is easy thanks to the nearby bypass and public transport links. The hotel’s 24-hour front desk and late 12:00 check-out mean you can come and go on your schedule—ideal for post-show recovery. While it’s not in the immediate city centre, it offers a quiet spot to unwind, away from the crowds and noise.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly base
Solo travelers attending a must-see show
Couples planning a chilled-out weekend with some live music
Fans who want a peaceful place to crash after the encore
Budget-conscious music lovers who prefer to spend on tickets, not beds

Food and Drink Options

While there's no on-site restaurant, guests will find several eateries and takeaways within a short drive or taxi ride. The 24-hour front desk can help with food recommendations or delivery options. No breakfast service is available at the hotel, but local cafés nearby open late morning—perfect for a lazy post-gig brunch.

Nightlife Options

The hotel itself is quiet and not nightlife-focused, but it’s well-placed for exploring the vibrant bars and live music venues of central Edinburgh, which are just a short drive or bus ride away. After the show, retreat to your room for a peaceful night’s sleep.

What People Say

Guests appreciate the excellent value for money, with clean, basic rooms and friendly staff. The free parking and easy access to the bypass get special mentions, especially for those driving in for a concert. Many note the quiet surroundings and the comfort of the beds.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel is a little dated and that there’s no on-site restaurant or bar, so plan ahead for meals. Wi-Fi is available but comes with an extra charge.

The Bottom Line

If you're after a quiet, budget-friendly place to rest after a night of live music in Edinburgh, Travelodge Edinburgh Dreghorn is a solid, no-fuss choice.

Liked: Parking space Dog friendly hotel Location was for us perfectly because of our dog
Disliked: Yes, carpere was a bit damp and the room not very warm. We like if it is warm because the days are colder and after a good walk you are expecting a cosy room. (it was ok but for us not warm enough) heater was working
