Liked: The hotel is right on the beach. Beautiful view! It is across the street from the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. There are restaurants within walking distance. Our room was clean and had tile floors.
Disliked: The hotel is on Pacific Coast Highway and we could hear traffic. The common areas have carpet that is old but the room has tile. The mattress was ok but the pillows were great.

Liked: The location cannot be beat. Parking was easy and included.
Disliked: This hotel is falling apart, old, and just not very well cared for. It looks like they are doing some updates, but wow is it dated with very little effort to make it better. Staff was fine... not good or great... but fine.

Friendly place to stay

Liked: It was a great stay. We liked the balcony that was with our room. It was great to sit out there to eat. We walked to Sunset Pizza and grabbed a pizza for dinner and then went to the beach to watch the sunset.
Disliked: The parking was a bit of a challenging. We have a medium SUV and had trouble fitting into the parking spaces so we had to park on the street. It did not fit in the hotel parking spots that were available.

Liked: The distance and ease of access to the beach was phenomenal.
Disliked: The property was in disrepair and construction was happening, so it wasn't very quiet. Not all the staff seemed to know what they were doing. Many seemed tired and run down. Not friendly or welcoming.Some people might be thrown off by the number of vagrants who hung out near the property and who snuck into the underground parking to sleep. At least they weren't obtrusive. The entrances were not well marked and it was confusing to Uber drivers and to us.The bathroom in the room really needs an upgrade.I don't think this property deserves the 3 star rating and is probably only saved by its beach access location.
