Travelodge by Wyndham Monterey Bay

For a low class hotel it wasn't completely horrible.

Liked: Upon check out the front desk attendant asked if we were going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and we were able to purchase our tickets instead of waiting in line at the aquarium.
Disliked: I asked for non-smoking adjoining rooms when I booked. I called to verify and they said they could get the rooms straight across from each other. Upon check in this was not true and the room I had my baby in smelled horrible of cigarette smoke and I don't know what else. The crib was not setup nor were the sheets put in the room for it. The room gets extremely hot and humid, no a/c.

We loved Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Liked: Pool was so nice and staff were very helpful and professional.
Disliked: Cleanliness not 100%

Value for money, location is...

Liked: Property is dated but the staff are very helpful. The proximity to all the whole Area. Monterey, Carmel & Big Sur.
Disliked: It was dated and on the flight path to the Airport. However it is a Travel Lodge and it delivers on value.

Liked: Great location! Only a 5-8 min drive to Old Fisherman’s Wharf. We traveled with our children, and was very happy with the fact that there was a Safeway, CVS, and gas station within minutes, in case we needed anything. Would definitely recommend. Staff was very nice. Met the GM, and she was very friendly at check out. Quiet and clean. Pool was warm enough to enjoy in 63 degree weather.
Disliked: May need some updates… all in due time :)

Liked: Room was clean
Disliked: When we arrived, it took almost an hour for someone to help us with our TV because it wouldn’t turn on. Then when they did turn it on, we only had one channel. They called asking how the tv was working and we told them we couldn’t change the channel and they said they would come up and never did. We were attempting to brush our teeth as wash our baby bottles and the sink would not drain. It took a long time before we could use the sink at times because the water would get too high in the sink.
