Travelodge by Wyndham Lloydminster

Good

Liked: Location.Breakfast was what I expected.
Disliked: Front counter failed to provide breakfast vouchers at check in, resulting in delays when going to eat.Main floor halls dirty, smells of mice, smoke, and cannabis. Not sure why we were put at farthest end of old building. TV had poor channel selection (nothing for Lloydminster or Edmonton).

Exceptional

The staff was great and...

Liked: The hotel had lots to offer, breakfast, gym, pool, and many vending machines, all for a great price
Disliked: The pool could really use a deep clean, but that didn't stop my daughter from enjoying it. The gym was okay, but some of the cardio equipment didn't even work.

Disappointing

Disliked: Every time opened bathroom door fire alarm went off crazy. Otherwise very niceHotel

Pleasant

Liked: Staff at desk, when they got there, was nice and helpful.
Disliked: Understood it's older, but the green algae all over the waterpark walls, stairs,, no towels, emergency phone didn't even work. The maze of trying to figure out how to get to your room was laughable.

Very poor

Liked: The slides were a cool addition to the hotel
Disliked: First off, they have placed us in the worst room in the entire hotel. Just before we went in the back door, there was a box full of cigarette butts everywhere, and a dead pigeon that has been there for at least 2 weeks. We requested for a different room immediately. The receptionist was happy to give us a new room. Unfortunately, she only gave us access for one day for some reason. We had to go back to the reception again to have one more day access. Stuff was very nice tho.

Disliked: Very dated and dark lobby and rooms. I think management or whomever is financially responsible for upkeep and staffing needs correction. The lady working the breakfast was running off her feet as the hotel was very busy but they didn’t bring in a second person to assist. The ceiling tile above the cooking area where she was mixing pancake batter and eggs was water damaged and about to fall. Clearly a health violation. Which brings us to the elevator and stair situation. Elevators were stuck on floors 3 of the four times we needed them included upon checkin which didn’t make carrying luggage up five flights enjoyable. Then when asking where the stairs were she said it is locked and she would need to let us in. One of the doors to the seventh floor in the stairwell had no handle from stairwell to hallway so people couldn’t enter. Sounds like a fire violation

Liked: The staff was friendly
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioner was not keeping the room cool all night.

Liked: Pub was great, location. Really needs an overhaul very dated
Disliked: Key card kept deactivating, at least 2-3 times a day
