Travelodge by Wyndham Lacombe

As expected!

Liked: It was clean, comfortable beds, not loud (though the train rumbled by a couple times which actually shook the room slightly but didn’t affect sleep!) and helpful staff, and a decent continental breakfast! Everything as expected.
Disliked: A little bit dated - but that’s to be expected in a travelodge, and it was clean!

We came to the town...

Liked: Location next to freight train tracks means there is periodic noise. Continental breakfast - whole fruit was good. There were a number of fast food options within walking distance that we did not use, but in a town based on the car, having options is great. IMPORTANT shout out to Leslie at front desk who made our day when she helped solve a packing problem - wonderful and unexpected concierge service from her.
Disliked: Details - the room corners; stray hair in the bathroom, ill-timed cleaning. If check in is after 3p why start putting rooms together at 3:15p? Our room keys stopped working 1 day early. There were pets in some of the rooms and I'm not sure if ours was used in that way.

Liked: Breakfast was good. Staff was really nice. It's outdated but comfy.
