The Spotlight on Travelodge Belfast

Affordable Comfort Steps from Belfast’s Music Scene

Modern, practical, and right in the heart of Belfast, Travelodge Belfast offers a no-frills yet comfortable base for travelers who want to be near the action. Just a 10-minute drive from George Best Belfast City Airport and a short walk from Great Victoria Street Rail Station, this hotel is well-positioned for both local and visiting music fans. Rooms are clean and spacious with fresh décor, private bathrooms, and handy in-room amenities like tea and coffee making facilities. Unlimited free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel ensures you stay connected before and after the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

This central location puts you within walking distance of Belfast’s major venues, pubs, and nightlife hotspots, making it easy to catch a gig and stroll back safely. The 24-hour front desk is a plus for late-night arrivals, while the 12:00 pm checkout lets you sleep in after a long night. Despite its position in a lively area, many guests find the rooms quiet enough for a restful sleep.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want an affordable base near the nightlife
  • Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list gig
  • Couples making a weekend of it
  • Fans needing a quiet recovery space after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who prefer to spend more on tickets than lodging

Food and Drink Options

The hotel has a traditional on-site restaurant offering simple meals, ideal for a quick bite before heading out. While there’s no 24/7 room service, you're surrounded by plenty of nearby pubs and eateries for post-show snacks or early breakfasts. Tea and coffee facilities in-room also help with those early-morning starts.

Nightlife Options

With bars, clubs, and music venues just steps away, you’re never far from the action. Guests love the easy stroll to nearby pubs offering live music and local craft drinks. While there’s no bar on-site, you won't miss it with so much happening around you.

What People Say

Guests praise the excellent central location, friendly staff, and clean, spacious rooms. Many reviewers mention how easy it is to get to concerts and events, and how the hotel offers great value for money. The free unlimited Wi-Fi is also a big win for those wanting to post gig pics or stream tunes.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel is a bit basic in terms of amenities—no gym, no bar, and limited food options late at night. A few also note that the décor could use a refresh in places, but most agree it’s clean and comfortable.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a simple, affordable, and central base for your Belfast concert experience, Travelodge Belfast hits all the right notes.

Liked: Perfect location. The hotel offered decent basic accommodations. Room and hotel were both clean. Bed was comfortable. A larger fan would have been nice as it was rather warm in the room
Disliked: Window only opened a small amount and we only had a small fan so it was very warm in the room

Pleasant

Liked: Room was very clean and everything we needed for one night. Location was good as close to train station. Was just not worth £230 at all but there wasn't anything cheaper on option for that date.
Disliked: There was no air conditioning and it was so stuffy in the room, window was open but no air coming in at all, left me feeling really sick! Main complaint along with value for money was that in the morning just after 11am or so the room was still ours untill 12pm, a man came into our room using a key card that he had been given by staff. Thankfully he was very apologetic and polite, but this was a real shock! This should not have happened! I understand that mistakes happen but this is a big mistake and no one from reception even rang our room to apologise even though the man would have gone back down to tell them. When I went to reception to hand in our keys there was no one there to speak to and I did not have time to wait about.
