Liked: Extremely clean and , updated, and comfortable. A gem that people could easily drive by and miss.

Nope. Never again.

Liked: Room #21 was one in the new addition built behind the main motel. Room was clean & good size, the bed was average comfort but had 4 nice fluffy pillows, room had microwave, small fridge, iron/board.
Disliked: Had to ask for ice at main lobby (not accessible after office closes). We stayed 3 nights (unfortunately) & learned on Night #1 that Room#21 & the rest of the rooms in the new addition behind main motel were NOT built on concrete slab foundation (that helps muffle sounds) & was built on pier & beam instead. So, you literally get woken up, multiple times, in the middle of the night hearing the guests in the adjacent rooms walking on the tiled flooring from their bedroom to their bathroom, back & forth (because the sound carries loudly). Also, each room in the new addition does NOT have their own water heater. We literally had only 5 mins of hot water in the shower at 8pm on a week night because the single guest next to us started showering when we did. Very disappointing!!! The front door to the room had very noticeable big gaps in the weather stripping (enabling cold air to blow in easily). The bathroom door didn't shut easily & closed loudly. Our room key wouldn't lock the dead bolt from the outside for extra security. Despite its nice appearance, the new addition with rooms #19+ seems to have shotty, cheap construction.

More than acceptable for the...

Liked: Breakfast location was about a block away at a neighboring motel and was excellent.The room appeared to have been recently renovated, new paint, new hard surface flooring, decent beds, etc. Staff was super helpful making policy exceptions for our family which was there for a funeral.
Disliked: As expected, the building was quite old and the property was crowded. The walls were thin and noise from adjacent rooms (snoring, etc.) was a concern.
