TownePlace Suites by Marriott York

This was probably the very best hotel experience I have ever had! Room was so comfortable and clean. Really liked the privacy of two separated bedrooms. The staff was great. They took time to speak to and play with my three year old grandson, provided driving directions to the event we were there to attend, and were so friendly and kind and pleasant. Breakfast was very good too.

Liked: Ease of checking in
Disliked: Bed horrible and uncomfortable. Curtains broken so let in lots of light early in the morning - but we were able to shift them in a way to work Pool looked like jello- bubbling. Staff said it was being treated for bacteria but had to ask bc there were no signs to stay out - very dangerous to guests staying there Breakfast was slim pickings Room had mold all over fan and doors- just grossFor a suite & for paying for 2 rooms for 2 nights - at $1097 - they should be ashamed to call these King Suites -they were SMALL- like little room to walk small and the location was next to a warehouse which the workers all hung around asking for handouts!- hallway smelled of marijuana and flashing lights were not fixed. The elevators got stuck at one point so stairs were safer. Just overall not happy that the pictures and previous ratings were so high and good then get there and it's a disappointment

Disliked: first room no TV and no holder for TP second room had no TP holder and bathroom had slippery bath tub bottom " almost slipped and fell twice " and hair and dirt on walls

Liked: No.
Disliked: I didn't like how dirty it was, especially the chairs and the stains on the carpet. I didn't like that the toilet wouldn't flush and I had to stick my hand into the tank to make the water go down, repeatedly! I didn't like how the television didn't work, and that there wasn't one in the second bedroom. Not that it would matter, because they didn't work! And worst of all, I didn't like that you charged us almost $700 for the privilege of this lousy experience. And if you had any conscience, you would give us at least a partial refund of the money we wasted on your hotel! But don't worry, we will not be coming back. So please do not give us credit or some nonsense like that!

Disliked: My tv didn't work for a day in a half the pool was cold so we didn't get to enjoy that.

Great place amazing employees

Liked: Everyone made me feel welcomed and appreciated, big compliment to the maintenance man Steve I think went out of his way to help my family figure everything out we needed and got us stuff we needed set the room temperature for us and gave us great options for local food.
Disliked: Could have been a little cleaner but over all great

Convenient and comfortable

Liked: The hotel staff was EXCELLENT! Front desk hostess Tamaia, Leasia and Steve the maintenance technician.The handicap accessible room was very roomy and convenient. The morning breakfast was also a great convenience and the location was perfect!
Disliked: The room needs some TLC on the walls where there is some paint peeling. The cost of a regular bottle of soda pop and a small bag of potato chips of over $4.50 was truly ridiculous!
