The Spotlight on Town and Country Motel

Affordable Comfort Just Minutes from the Action

Modern yet unpretentious, Town and Country Motel is a laid-back stay in South Strathfield, only a 10-minute drive to Sydney Olympic Park—home to some of the city’s biggest concerts and sporting events. With a relaxed suburban setting, this motel offers everything you need to recharge after a night of live music: an outdoor pool, on-site cocktail bar, fitness center, and free off-street parking.
The rooms are equipped with essentials like air-conditioning, TV, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, and private bathrooms—ideal for fans looking for comfort without the frills.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is key, and this motel delivers. You're a short drive (or rideshare) from Sydney Olympic Park, making it a top pick for concert nights. The area is generally quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep once the music fades. Plus, the 24-hour snack and drink service ensures you won’t go hungry after a late show. While check-in starts at 14:00, the motel’s easy-going vibe means you're unlikely to feel rushed.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a practical, no-fuss stay near the venue
  • Solo travelers heading for that must-see gig
  • Couples planning a casual weekend around a concert
  • Fans who want a quieter recovery space after a loud night
  • Budget-conscious music lovers needing affordable access to big events

Food and Drink Options

Bippy's restaurant serves breakfast daily from 07:15 to 09:30—perfect for late risers after a night out. The motel also offers 24-hour drinks and snacks, so you can grab a bite no matter when the encore ends. While there’s no dinner service on-site, nearby Burwood offers plenty of casual dining spots just a short drive away.

Nightlife Options

The on-site cocktail bar is a relaxed place to wind down, and if you’re still buzzing from the concert, nearby suburbs like Burwood and Strathfield have a growing nightlife scene with pubs and lounges. It's not a party hotel, but that’s part of the charm for fans craving a chill space after the show.

What People Say

Guests love the motel’s location near Sydney Olympic Park, free parking, and affordable rates. Many highlight the friendly staff and the convenience of 24/7 snack access. It’s not fancy, but it delivers on the basics and then some.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers mention that the decor is a bit dated, and the check-out time of 10:00 can feel early after a late night. That said, it's all part of the value package—and most agree it’s a fair trade-off for the price.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a concert at Sydney Olympic Park and want a quiet, affordable, and convenient place to crash, Town and Country Motel hits all the right notes.

Don’t stay here it’s disgusting

Liked: The lady on reception was really nice.
Disliked: There was nothing about this hotel I liked. It was filthy. The carpets are gross felt like your feet stuck to it, the shower was terrible, beds uncomfortable, my son’s bed was broken and he had to prop it up with a shoe. There’s no windows that open so it was stuffy and stunk, bed felt dirty, there were bugs flying around, PowerPoints broken, tv cut in and out, we got locked out because they had metal over the door handles to stop people from breaking in. Bathroom flooded after one shower. Having a shower there was like showering in a toilet block at a caravan park. It was absolutely disgusting. Paid $180 such a rip off. Locals who live there outside yelling and swearing, people wondering around the car park at night.

Would not stay again... ever.

Liked: Free parking
Disliked: When we arrived police were attending to a woman next door who was clearly drug affected, fighting people in the carpark, this was very scary for my child to witness. I asked reception if those people would be kicked out as I don't want to stay next door to them, she said police were removing the woman, however her friends remained in the room and were loitering around the front yelling and swearing on the phone until 4am, we got no sleep. I tried calling reception with no answer, and didn't feel safe leaving the child alone to walk to reception. The rooms stink, carpet is filthy and it's very outdated.. smells like the room is covered in 50 years of cigarette smoke and spilled alcohol, which triggered mine and my childs asthma.. was not pleasant. The water to wash hands and shower is also broken. For $160 a night, there's air bnbs that are cheaper, or next time I'd fork out the extra $20 and stay somewhere more hygienic and safer.
