Tower Hotel

Very good

Liked: The location is nice, you can walk to the old, historic centre of Lincoln. The room was nicely decorated with a good shower.
Disliked: We had a room on the second floor, the room has a small high window. I had to stand on my toes to see something outside. That was a pity.

Lovely hotel in a great...

Liked: Lovely hotel, great location, very friendly staff. I particularly liked the art deco furniture in my bedroom; comfortable double bed with lovely crisp sheets. Despite there being a busy bar and restaurant downstairs, and my first floor room overlooking the street, I was not aware of noise from outside or inside the hotel, which is great. Excellent breakfast.

Disliked: Hotel a little dated. No actual car park at hotel but permit provided for roadside spaces if available.

A very pleasant stay with...

Liked: The Tower is situated at the top of a very steep hill (hence the name Steep Hill). Situated in the old part of the City and very near the most beautiful Cathedral. Also near the castle. The rooms were nicely decorated with comfortable beds and clean towels every day. Tea,coffee and biscuit tray. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast choice was good and plentiful and we ate in the bar and restaurant two nights running. They did a two course meal for £22 and three course for £25 some evenings plus A La Carte. All the food was nicely cooked and very tasty. It was very popular with both tourists and locals. My friend and myself had a twin room (4) and paid £285 for three nights including breakfast. We thought this was excellent value. Thoroughly recommend the area. For those less mobile there is a Park and Ride bus which goes frequently from bottom of the town to the top. You can also zig-zag your way up and down. Would recommend 100%.
Disliked: Nothing we didn’t like. We did laugh about the small sink in the very nice bathroom as the large kettle would not fit under the tap! We just used a few glasses of water to fill it for our cup of tea in the morning. A smaller kettle (only cheap) would make a difference as you don’t need to fill a large kettle for only two people. Only a petty thing but it was quite funny and we did mention it on our last morning. They were aware of it.

Great location and lovely food...

Liked: Excellent location for visiting Lincoln cathedral and castle - at the top of Steep Hill. Food - both breakfast and meals were fantastic.
