Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel

On arriving to your hotel I went to check in. The lady I had was very gruff. I told her that I was told breakfast was included in our stay and she preceded to tell me it was not. I asked if she was sure as I was told that it was when I had called - she assured me it was not. I let that go, then she proceeded to tell me that the gym and the pool were closed, under renovation. I said I was very disappointed in this - my daughter, myself and my friend had all brought our bathing suits and it was one of the reasons we had chosen this hotel. I conveyed this to the lady and she said we could use the sister hotel down the street for free. I explained that I did not feel comfortable for 3 young ladies to walk alone down the streets of Toronto at night to go to the other hotel. She basically said 'oh well, it is what it is'. I was livid, so I said that then for the inconvenience she should include breakfast and she said no. I have stayed at the Renaissance before and I have had breakfast there before, but I can assure you I will not choose to stay there next time we visit Toronto which I must say is frequently.

Liked: I loved how the staff takes really good care of you as soon as you enter, even those who stay at this establishment are extremely friendly and I would recommend you go and eat at the restaurant and see the jays play.
Disliked: There's weird gaps underneath the doors (that are over an inch)which to me doesn't give you much privacy when people are walking in the hallways.The breakfast was alright it was a little cold when we went and my partner got sick so we didnt go the next day.

Liked: Room 421. Sportsnet bar was awesome. The staff from the valet to front desk to sportsnet bar staff were all amazing.
Disliked: The proximity to the baseball game and the staff.
