Liked: Good location for our trip.
Disliked: Really horrible cold food. Breakfast was not good at all.

Liked: Chris and the team where friendly as ever
Disliked: The carpet and the sofa could do with a clean and the grouting in the shower needs redoing

Rooms are very good value...

Liked: The room was very good - clean and on a very hot day - very cool. Bed comfortable with nice linen. Bathroom very clean and good shower. Staff when we checked in and in the restaurant for lunch on that first day very welcoming and cheerful.
Disliked: We booked room only and when we went to breakfast the next morning - the lady on duty at the desk asked us as we if we were both having breakfast. I said yes and she advised we needed to pay before we went through and duly charged us for what I thought would be a full breakfast to include all foods and drinks available. However, once seated we saw an actual breakfast menu on the table where cereals, fruit juices etc were all extra costs, This also included tea and coffee(we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee when paying so I guess that cost was added at that point). I only wanted a glass of juice and cereals - no hot food whatsoever and had we been advised of the menu when paying, then clearly we could have chosen that instead of paying for a full hot meal which was not going to be eaten. I asked the person if I could have some cereals and juice and was advised I would have to pay for them as extras- on top of having paid for hot food which I was not going to eat. Left a bitter taste. I thought they could have let me have a small box of cereal and glass of juice- as I was not having the hot option. However, was told I would have to pay!. I did not and had a cup of tea. It should be made clear when your are paying before you sit down - that there is a menu, and, the system of how it works with individual payments per item explained. The member of staff appeared to be of the opinion that I should have known it, as it said it on the menu! Yes, but as we were stopped on arrival and had to pay before we were allowed to go through to the restaurant and sit down and see the menu, ...how was I supposed to know?.

Liked: It was comfortable and having such a delicious food restaurant near it was awesome.. You will nor regret staying there..

Accomodati on was good but...

Liked: Room was fine although sofa bed was broken. Linen was clean
Disliked: Breakfast and coffee was very poor. Very poor quality and selection’. My son - who usually loves a hotel breakfast chose not to eat at all. KConsidering what they were charging it was very poor value We had to go elsewhere after trying it and there seemed to be no staff around to help.

No premier inn.

Disliked: Room was very dusty and mcdonald chip under bed, black mould in shower and the fan blew dust all over the room,, restaurant was dusty and crockery wasn't clean..disappointed because most of the staff were brilliant and welcoming.

Good stay near York

Liked: Standard hotel with the expected amenities. Easy to access from the main road. The site has a small shop as well
Disliked: Nothing - as expected for a Toby carvery
