A wonderful short stay in...

Liked: Almost everything. Great location, attractive grounds, superb breakfast and restaurant also top class. Spacious nicely decorated room . Excellent staff.
Disliked: Room was a little dark and could have done with reading lamp. Heating controls seemed to be a bit off, but helpful staff quickly sorted.

Liked: Food for all meals were superb, enjoyed every meal. Room was a courtyard, so nice and quiet - would have liked a quieter fan (very noisey) needed it as it very hot.
Disliked: Fan in room needs improving it was exeptionnaly hot when we visited.

Superb, friendly staff through out...

Liked: Lovely staff. Helpful, friendly. They even moved some clothes I left in the closet from my other reservation/room (# 7) from 17th and 18th June to the room (#12) I moved into with my wife on 19th June. Pretty, well-appointed and spacious room (#12) and bathroom (19 June).A good old-fashioned bath as well as a shower which is great to have, as so many hotels have done away with them.
Disliked: Mattress on king bed. Sagging slightly on right side. £27.00 for 2 large G and T's! Exorbitant and crazy prices though I accept this (bar price rip off) is the norm everywhere nowadays.Quite a pricey ££ restaurant with mixed food quality - e.g. a superb, wonderful main course but spoiled a little by gritty, unchilled (not on bed of ice you'd expect for the ££ paid) oysters.Impossible to get taxis - even 3-4 hours before needed - to other places e.g. for dinner.

A little gem, absolutely amazing...

Liked: Liked absolutely everything, staff so very friendly and helpful very welcoming. All rooms are absolutely beautiful had the privilege to be shown around some different rooms some with patio area, and own private spas. Breakfast was amazing the bar area is so welcoming and cosy inside and out. Beautiful garden to sit and relax, lovely relaxing areas inside the hotel. The full manor is so beautiful, local to lots of different places to visit. Also have dog friendly rooms not that I own a dog! Found this little gem at the last min of booking somewhere to stay.
Disliked: The only thing I didnt like was our pillows were abit hard making sleeping abit uncomfortable to sleep, but I was told you can ask to change them by a member at reception.

Liked: Staff are very friendly and then hotel is a good quality
Disliked: There was a lot of flies in the restaurant area. They needed to use candles to prevent the flies in my opinion

A much needed break, close...

Liked: The beakfast selection was good, but arrived painfully slowly. We had to wait for tea/coffee, then toast, then cooked breakfast. However, it was hot and tasty when it did come. Dinner was lovely, and, as the weather was so hot, we shared starters and dessert, tapas style.
Disliked: The long wait for breakfast was frustrating. The bed was comfy, but too soft and the duvet too warm for unusual summer heat, however, we really liked the room and its outlook over the herb garden.
