Lovely hotel, apart from the...

Liked: The room, the hotel itself and the location.
Disliked: We were in a room whwre you could access the room next door. I didn’t request this kind of room. I ended up not getting much sleep due to the noise from the people next door and I could even hear what they were watching on their tv. I did phone reception who said they would send security but i don’t think they turned up as I never heard anyone and the noise continued !

Liked: The room was good, the breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: There were two cushions on the bed which were heavily stained.

Good facilities let down by...

Liked: Location, restaurant, room, spa
Disliked: Open plan bar area was bizarre for a 4 star hotel. Wedding was taking place and the music was really loud, sounded like a club in town. Door staff walking around and a singer weirdly in the bar area made it seem like a pub on Mathew Street. Staying on the second floor but could hear loud music until midnight. Bar staff were very slow to serve and tables weren’t cleared for a long time after guests had gone…in contrast to the restaurant area which was very efficient. Hotel needs some quieter areas for guests who don’t want to stay in a club. Feels like the hotel is trying to cater for everyone but feels downmarket because of this. Similar experience would be a hotel in Majorca!
