Wonderful place

Liked: Amazing country house with large gardens and terrace that just begs you to spend time relaxing outdoors. Close to many turistic attractions like Bodnant Gardens, Snowdonia, Conwi, etc. The house is large and well maintained, the rooms are large and well appointed. Very comfortable to sleep or just lounge. The property has a lounge room as well, if the weather doesn't help. Amenities were great: hot water, daily cleaning and excellent wifi. Breakfast is served everyday and it has a good selection of options, all delicious. Sandra, the host, is warm and welcoming, always ready to offer advice for nice places to visit or for a chat. Bonus: SPA services are very close by, so you can enjoy a massage or facial everyday without leaving the property. Prices are very good too. I had a reflexology massage, a leg massage and a rose facial and Sarah was wonderful throughout.
Disliked: It's only open from April till October. I would love to go stay there in winter time as well.

We had a wonderful experience...

Liked: We liked everything. The house, room, decor, service were all exceptional; but the best part was the hospitality of the owner — thank you Sandra. Once we turned onto the narrow country lane, we felt we were home. It was a perfect base for our exploration of North Wales. You will not be disappointed here.

Great location for peaceful vacation...

Liked: This was our second visit and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has since been taken over by new owner managed by Sandra. She is a very polite, considerate and helpful host. She organised our breakfast and everything that we needed very efficiently. The staff were very good.Breakfast and location were excellent as usual.
Disliked: Although we were given one of the best suites of the hotel, on the first night it become an issue for us. As it was very hot (30+) during the day, the room became very hot in spite of the portable fan. Owner should consider a portable AC during the summer months for comfort.

Excellent stay in a very...

Liked: Really nice & newly updated room, very comfortable king size bed, our junior suite was quite roomy, bathroom was esp. spacious which included japanese toilet (bidet shower, fan / dryer). Really delicious breakfast prepared and cooked by the owner, Sandra. As a bonus for us was that we could use some of the kitchen utensils for our “home prepared dinner” as we have been travelling for a number of months & it was nice to stay on the property for a few nights-in.The property is close to various trails for walks in the area which we used a few times. Convenient location to go to Conwy, Anglesey & Snowdonia. The owner also provided excellent advise for daily visits in the area, trips & tips for any activies, incl. dining options.
Disliked: We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay as we originaly only booked few nights & later on we extended our stay. The second room we stayed was a smaller room downstairs which has not been updated yet (lower priced than the jnr suite), it was a bit colder in this room as it was located on the ground floor & in the more shady area of the house. The room had an extra heater provided hence we used that also.

Like Arnie “ I will...

Liked: A beautiful house in a fabulous location. Each day started with a great breakfast and then friendly advice on where to go and the best way to get there.
Disliked: The damned 20 mph speed limit

The perfect countryside haven

Liked: Fabulous house in an idyllic setting in the Conwy Valley. Wonderful garden and spectacular views. Pristine condition and the host Sandra is a total perfectionist. Lovely breakfast and rooms have all their own individual character.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike unless you are a very odd person or persons.
