Disappointing

Liked: We were asked if we could eat early as they had a large group staying there. 5pm was a bit early but we went with it. The food and service was good. Room was confortable and large.
Disliked: We were not told that a live singer would be in to entertain this large group of guests. Our room was just above the room being used for the entertainment. It was so loud we might have just as well have joined them. Fortunately it didn't go on too late but it would have been nice to have told about this or have been given a room away from the entertainment being that we were not part of that group. Appreciate we were only staying one night but still.

Disappointing. Not worth the money.

Disliked: Lack of and inexperienced staff. Slow delivery of food at dinner and breakfast. Dark bedroom. Visit clashed with large coach party. No one manning reception at breakfast time.

Make sure you don’t get...

Liked: The last minute and they managed to fit us in for dinner reservation which was very kind.
Disliked: They completely messed up our room. I requested an extra large double and when I got to the room, it had not been made up and was still two twins, despite acknowledgement that they accepted the request. I was then moved rooms to an ordinary double bed. This room was above the band the whole floor of the bathroom shook until after midnight. Then for the next hour, there were doors banging and the noise of them clearing out, including chatting outside the . It was extremely difficult to sleep during the night due to a generator running every so often it would stutter and get going again so even if you did get to sleep this stutter would waken you again

Liked: I liked the grand staircase
Disliked: The toilet cistern kept running, vanity light didn’t work

Good

Liked: Breakfast a bit limited (no pastries, eg) and the coffee was weak.Lasagne was tasteless.However, all staff were very pleasant and most of our needs were met.
